About Self/Hacker

Most people want to be better at something. Some people want to be the best at everything. But with the overwhelming amounts of resources out there, it can be difficult to know where to start and how to filter through the noise and the mess to begin your self-improvement.

Whatever your goals, wherever you are in your life, we want to help. Like you, we want to improve ourselves to become better people and create the lives we want.

The difference between us and those other “self-improvement” sites or gurus is that we don’t claim to be experts at everything – we are normal people going through our own personal journeys, trying to learn the best we can, and cutting out the crap to make sure our improvements are efficient and effective.

We’ll share insights and stories from successful people; teach you what we’ve learned so far; show you what we are currently doing whilst we experiment and try things out so you can see for yourselves on what works and what doesn’t.

We’ll investigate traditional methods and advice but also look into advanced technologies or modern techniques to help us where possible.

We’re passionate about building a better life and aren’t afraid to tell you like it is. We want to shed the old mumbo-jumbo, touchy-feely image of the self-help community and begin a new, modern, leaner, meaner, practical and analytical approach to self-improvement and personal development: self-hacking.

The Founder

If you are reading this then like me, there is something about your life that you want to improve or be better in and I hope we here at Self/Hacker can give you a little nudge in the right direction for what you accomplish.

My own personal journey has often been difficult and trying but I’m definitely getting there and step by step, I am improving my life or at least figuring out the ways to do so. If I was to compare myself now and to when I was in college years ago when I was at my lowest point in my life, it makes me proud to think of the major changes in me that I have achieved so far – and I know it can get even better with constant and never-ending improvement (CANI).

To the outsiders looking in, I may seem like I have a somewhat relatively normal, good life but to me back then and for a lot of you out there, that in itself can seem difficult to achieve. Maybe one day I’ll tell my full story but for now, I want to share the resources, tools and lessons I’ve learnt so far along with my future journey of improving my life even more.

Take a look around and if like me, you’re an introvert, analytical and a bit of a geek, hopefully a lot of it will resonate with you.

I know for certain that your life can definitely improve if you are determined enough and continue to take action. All the best and good luck.
